About Me

Fit like! My name is Finlay and I am a 19 year old Photographer originally from Aberdeen but now living in Glasgow. Sports Photography is a big passion of mine and getting to capture the important moment's of people's lives that can only be viewed but never experienced again.

  I began photography back in 2020 when I studied it at Academy in S5 through Covid-19 pandemic and haven't looked back since. I began photographing the beautiful landscapes of Scotland for my portfolio, but in 2022, I decided I wanted to combine my passion of Sports and Photography together, so I decided to volunteer to be a Sports Photographer at Deveronvale FC in Banff, Aberdeenshire in the Highland League, back in September 2022 and have since captured many sporting moments and hope to capture more with the next generation of sport athletes.

Also gaining work-experiences along the way such as, Photographing for P&J Live for the Darts Premier League, Cove Rangers V Ayr United in the Scottish cup with the agency "SNS Group", Baseball Cup Final, Camera Operation at the BBC on "The Nine" News Programme and of course Media Development at Deveronvale and Pollok Football Club.

These opportunities and skills I have learned since I began has given me the skills and confidence to work in the field as I look to gain the knowledge and skills to become a camera operator in TV/Film Industry.
